One thing I’ve learned in my 30 years of trying to lose weight is that at the end of the day everybody’s body is different. They do the same functions…process foods, store fuel, burn fat, etc, but they do them at different rates (if I had a nickel for every time I cursed my sluggish metabolism!). Also, we live different lives…some people love cooking at home, some just don’t have time. Some people entertain clients at restaurants or hold lots of parties. Some people need breakfast, some have kids, some are single, some just don’t have time for exercise, etc. The variables go on.

So everyone is different and everyone leads different lives. When it’s all said and done you have to do what works for you. Your fitness journey has to fit YOUR body and YOUR lifestyle.

So whatever you choose to do, whatever works best for you, I’ve learned that there are two things that are universal to success…FOCUS and MOTIVATION. You have to regularly ask yourself…’Am I focused on the right things?’ and ‘How will I stay motivated?’ In fact, I’ve found that almost every day I have to ‘reset’ and consciously remind myself of what the priorities are today…and how I will get to them.

Focus. Motivation. Repeat.

This is a journey I’m on, learning, growing, and sharing it here & on social media, along with inspiration. As I become more comfortable I’ll be more honest and more vulnerable, sharing more details. I hope you come join me on this journey because at the end of the day we’re all in this together and we get more done with support from one another.

Let’s go!
